6000 Bags of Food Palliative to Indigent residents of Ikosi Isheri communities: Mayoress Promise to do More in September 2023

 In the latest development within Ikosi Isheri communities, Mayoress Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada's commitment to the welfare of her constituents was vividly demonstrated through the distribution of 6000 Bags of Food Palliative during the August Edition of Operation Feed the Aged/Widows and Indigent Residents of Ikosi Isheri LCDA. This compassionate initiative, established well before the challenges of COVID-19 and the economic repercussions of fuel subsidy removal, aims to alleviate the hardships faced by the community members.


Throughout the distribution event held across seven different locations within Ikosi Isheri LCDA, Mayoress Bada herself took a hands-on approach. Her personal presence added a heartwarming touch as she directly handed out the food palliatives, comprising a combination of rice, beans, and garri, to the indigent residents. This compassionate act left a lasting impact on the community, leaving its members deeply moved and appreciative of the Mayoress's genuine care and concern.

As a beloved and caring figure within the community, Mayoress Bada reassured the residents of her unwavering support, reinforcing the message that her commitment to their well-being remains steadfast. She expressed her gratitude for the enduring support the community has shown during these challenging times, while also conveying optimism for Nigeria's future prosperity. Her faith in the positive impact of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's policies was evident as she called for patience in awaiting the manifestation of progress.

Hon. Salami Yunusa Kolawole, a prominent legislative leader representing KoiKoi/Idera Ward G, echoed the sentiment of the government's dedication to the people of Ikosi Isheri LCDA. Highlighting the importance of easing the burden caused by the subsidy removal, he underscored the government's genuine concern for the community's well-being. He encouraged the residents to collaborate with the government's palliative initiatives, emphasizing a collective effort in times of need.

Following the successful distribution of food items, Mayoress Bada took the opportunity to engage with community stakeholders. During this interaction, she shared her visionary plans to further enhance the welfare package in the upcoming months, demonstrating her ongoing commitment to improving the lives of the aged, widows, and indigent residents of the LCDA.
