A  renowned Professor of Information Systems, Professor (Mrs) Olayinka David-West on Wednesday visited the iconic SAIL Innovation Lab in Ikorodu, founded by Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA and his wife, Feyisola as part of their endowment. Prof. David-West, the Associate Dean at the Lagos Business School (LBS), who is a passionate advocate of digital transformation, which the SAIL Innovation Lab is promoting , commended the promoters of the Innovation Lab for the vision in galvanising the youths of Lagos East for the endless possibilities and opportunities that the digital and tech space presents. The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, on Thursday paid a thank you visit to the Honourable Minister of Works, Senator Dave Umahi over the fast pace of work on the 34-Km Ikorodu Itokin Road which is currently being rehabilitated. Onakoya broke the world record for the longest chess marathon after playing unbeaten for about 60 hours in New York City’s Times Square to raise money for underprivileged children. In Lagos State's Federal High Court, businessman and socialite Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, was granted bail of N10 million with two sureties of equal sum. During his trial, the celebrity bar man pleaded not guilty to allegations of tampering and misuse of the naira. Cubana Chief Priest faced three counts related to the misuse of the nation's currency, specifically for allegedly spraying and tampering with the naira at a social gathering, a violation of the Central Bank Act of 2007. He was accused of spraying the naira at Eko Hotel on February 13, 2024, during a social event.
