Amidst the aftermath of flooding incidents that have left many residents in Lagos State and across Nigeria grappling with significant losses due to the recent water release from the Oyan Dam, Mayoress Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada of Ikosi Isheri LCDA has displayed unwavering dedication to the well-being of her community. Her deep commitment to the people she serves prompted her to visit flood-affected communities such as Ajegunle, River Bank Estate, and Isheri North GRA within her jurisdiction. 

During her visit, the Mayoress extended her heartfelt sympathy and support to the residents who have endured the brunt of severe flooding problems. She recognized the urgency of addressing this ongoing issue and pledged to collaborate with the relevant authorities to establish lasting solutions for the flood-related challenges in these areas.

Accompanied by her dedicated team, the Mayoress provided essential relief items, including food palliatives, to the affected residents. Her compassionate appeal to the inhabitants emphasized the importance of caution during these challenging times. She urged those who found the situation unbearable to consider temporary relocation until the floodwaters recede, underscoring her profound connection to her community and its welfare.

Several community members, whose identities were not disclosed, shared their thoughts after a brief interview with our correspondent, highlighting the proactive and empathetic approach taken by the Mayoress. WHO IS KAFILAT OGBARA

  Mrs. Kafilat Ogbara was born to Alhaji and Alhaja M. Ade. Kasumu’s family in Aiyepe Ogun State.   Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada was born into the blessed family of the late Alhaji Olatunji Raheem Bada and the late Chief Mrs. Afolakemi Bada (JP) in Odogbolu, Ogun State, on December 28th, 1973. She attended Muslim Primary School in Odogbolu, followed by Odogbolu Grammar School, and completed her education at Ajao Estate High School in Anthony Village, Lagos.
