Mayor of Agboyi Ketu Engaged Stakeholders At The Consultative Forum For the Year 2024 Budget



















Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, led by Mayor Dele Oshinowo, conducted a Stakeholders Consultative Forum to gather valuable inputs for the upcoming 2024 fiscal year budget. The engagement, facilitated by the Council's Department of Budget, Planning, Research, and Statistics, aimed to enhance citizen participation and ensure a more inclusive budgeting process.

Mayor Dele Oshinowo, in his opening address, commended residents for their contributions and urged stakeholders to actively participate by providing input. He emphasized the commitment to transparency and announced a tech-driven revenue collection initiative to eliminate financial leakages.

The chairman outlined key areas of focus for the 2024 fiscal year, highlighting a zero tolerance for virement. He assured residents that the Owode-Ajegunle corridor, particularly Irawo Road and Ondo Street, would receive attention. Additionally, plans for the construction of two new recreational centers were revealed, complementing an ongoing project in Agboyi.

Mayor Oshinowo celebrated the administration's successes across governance sectors. Notably, he pledged to address challenges in the Owode-Ajegunle corridor, construct world-standard recreational centers, establish a new administrative office for improved productivity, and initiate the industrial drilling of boreholes for community water supply.

The chairman emphasized the adoption of a tech-driven approach to revenue collection, ensuring citizens can conveniently pay from home or business spaces. This system aims to streamline the process and generate receipts effortlessly, enhancing overall efficiency in financial transactions.

Members of the team pledged their dedication to ensuring a seamless implementation of the tech-driven revenue collection. They highlighted the importance of capturing all properties in the LCDA's database, emphasizing data accuracy and completeness.

The Stakeholders Consultative Forum for the 2024 Budget of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA marked a crucial step towards inclusive governance. Mayor Dele Oshinowo's commitment to addressing community needs and implementing innovative solutions, such as tech-driven revenue collection, reflects the LCDA's dedication to progress and service delivery.

WHO IS KAFILAT OGBARA

  Mrs. Kafilat Ogbara was born to Alhaji and Alhaja M. Ade. Kasumu’s family in Aiyepe Ogun State. She attended Adrao International School in Victoria Island and Federal Home Science PSchool Ikoyi, Lagos respectively.
