Gathering of Titans: Ikosi-isheri LCDA Hosts Annual Ramadan Tafsir with Distinguished Guests



















In a display of reverence and unity, the Ikosi-isheri LCDA played host to its esteemed annual Ramadan Tafsir, a beacon of spiritual reflection and community solidarity. Spearheaded by the Mayoress, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, the event unfolded within the grandeur of the Senator Adebayo Osinowo Hall at the Ikosi Isheri LCDA Council Secretariat.

The event, anchored by the Ikosi-isheri LCDA League of Imams and Council of Alfas, welcomed notable dignitaries and prominent personalities across our country. Among those in attendance were:

- Alh MĂștiu Lawal Are: Member, North East Development Commission and Secretary Lagos State GAC.
- Rt.Hon. Surajudeen Adekunbi: Former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly.
- Rt. Hon Tola Banjo: Former Deputy Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly.
- Hon Obafemi Saheed: Member, Lagos State House of Assembly (Kosofe Constituency II) and Chairman of the House Committee on Finance.

At the Ramadan Tafsir, a traditional Islamic gathering during the holy month of Ramadan, the Chief Imam Ismail Ibrahim Kajola who is the chief missioner,League of chief imams & alfa in Ikosi Isheri LCDA gave a Special sermon in which he explained the importance of self reflection, spiritual growth, and community engagement during and after Ramadan Fasting. According to him, this season also involves the interpretation and explanation of the Quran, aimed at deepening the understanding of the teachings of the holy prophet.

The presence of the eminent figures underscores the importance of religious tolerance, unity, and community cohesion, as leaders from different spheres come together to observe and participate in this sacred tradition.

The event not only serves as a platform for religious discourse but also fosters networking, collaboration, and dialogue among diverse stakeholders, contributing to the overall development and harmony within the Ikosi-isheri LCDA and beyond.

As the Ramadan season progresses, such gatherings serve as reminders of the values of compassion, generosity, and solidarity, inspiring individuals and communities to work together for the betterment of society.

WHO IS KAFILAT OGBARA

  Mrs. Kafilat Ogbara was born to Alhaji and Alhaja M. Ade. Kasumu’s family in Aiyepe Ogun State. She attended Adrao International School in Victoria Island and Federal Home Science PSchool Ikoyi, Lagos respectively. Her Secondary School Education was at Federal Government Girls College Langtang, Plateau State. A graduate of English Language and Literature from the University of Lagos, she also acquired her Masters Degree in International Law and Diplomacy and another Masters Degree in Public Administration all from the University of Lagos. Mayoress Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada Distributes Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu's Food Palliatives to Ikosi Isheri Residents

In a heartening display of solidarity and support, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu's food palliatives were distributed to the residents of Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) today. The distribution, orchestrated by the Mayoress and her team, exemplifies the Lagos State Government's dedication to alleviating the challenges faced by its citizens during these unprecedented times.
