In Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, festive seasons don’t arrive quietly — they arrive with impact. And once again, Mayoress Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada has upheld her tradition of delivering tangible relief to residents in preparation for Eid-el-Kabir (Ileya).

On Sunday, June 1st, 2025, the Mayoress flagged off a large-scale, ward-by-ward distribution of cows, rams, and rice, reaching all segments of the community — from the elderly and widows to market women, religious groups, and youth organizations.

This gesture is not a one-time political stunt — it is part of her consistent practice of touching lives during every festive period.

🐏 Cows, Rams & Rice — Distributed

Residents across Ikosi-Isheri LCDA received:

  • Large bags (50kg) of rice for household use

  • Rams and cows for both personal and community celebrations

  • And above all, a reaffirmation that they are not forgotten

👣 A Leader Present in Both Policy and People’s Lives

Rather than delegate from afar, Mayoress Bada was physically present throughout the process — supervising distribution points, engaging directly with residents, and ensuring fairness across all seven wards.

“Eid is about community,” she said.
“And governance, to me, must include showing up for people when it matters most — not just with words, but with action.”
