Princess Bada Returns Stronger — With a Second Term and a Bigger Seat at the Table of Power, She Declares: “The Next Four Years Will Surpass the Last”
…As Ikosi-Isheri LCDA holds grand inauguration ceremony
In a powerful testament to her soaring political relevance,
Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada has been named Vice Chairman, Lagos East, of the prestigious Conference 57 — a strategic elevation that not only affirms her growing influence within the progressive fold but also places Ikosi-Isheri LCDA at the heart of policymaking, visibility, and access across Lagos State.
This announcement came alongside her official inauguration for a second term as Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, held on Sunday, July 27, 2025. The ceremony, conducted by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was met with overwhelming jubilation from residents, political stakeholders, and dignitaries across Lagos.
In her inaugural address, the Mayoress first gave glory to Almighty Allah for His enduring grace and thanked the people of Ikosi-Isheri for entrusting her once again with their mandate. She extended heartfelt appreciation to her family, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), loyal supporters, and voters — emphasizing that her re-election was not a personal victory but a resounding endorsement of purposeful leadership.
“This mandate is not about me — it’s about us. The trust you’ve placed in me will be honoured with more work, more impact, and more progress,” she affirmed.
Reflecting on her first term, Princess Bada cited key achievements including road infrastructure projects, upgraded public schools, revitalized healthcare centres, and wide-reaching economic empowerment programs. She reiterated her commitment to building on that legacy, stressing that her second term would be about “consolidation and expansion.”
“My promise is simple but unwavering: the next four years will be better than the last. The best of Ikosi-Isheri is still ahead of us,” she declared, drawing applause from the crowd.
She also expressed gratitude to the party’s leadership and political figures whose unwavering support saw her through the primaries and general elections, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sanwo-Olu, Otunba Bushura Alebiosu, Baba Shosanya, Alhaji Mutiu Are, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, Hon. Kunle Soname, Hon. Kazeem Afolabi, and particularly Barr. Ogala, whom she commended for upholding the rule of law during the primary process.
The newly inaugurated Leader of the 6th Legislative Assembly, Hon. Ismaila Onikosi (representing Orile-Ikosi Ward), also took the oath of office during the ceremony. He pledged the full cooperation of the legislative arm and affirmed his commitment to working hand-in-hand with the Executive Chairman to deliver tangible development to all wards in the LCDA.
“The progress of Ikosi-Isheri is a shared responsibility. We in the Legislative Arm will support policies and initiatives that move our people forward,” Hon. Onikosi stated.
As a new chapter begins, the atmosphere in Ikosi-Isheri LCDA is filled with optimism. With a strengthened mandate and a renewed drive to serve, Mayoress Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada is set to redefine grassroots governance — proving once again that results, not rhetoric, win the people’s trust.
