A remarkable achievement unfolds as over a hundred young individuals, having completed Tech Talent and Data Science training at the SAIL Innovation Lab, now embark on promising careers in artificial intelligence with Awari AI. Awari AI, a flourishing AI/Robotics firm, has strategically chosen the SAIL Innovation Lab in Ikorodu as a launchpad for its expansion across Nigeria and Africa. This collaboration extends beyond training, as Awari AI joins forces with the lab for ongoing talent acquisition, contributing to the burgeoning multi-billion dollar AI industry poised to reshape various aspects of life in the coming years.
Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, the co-founder of the SAIL Innovation Lab and representative of Lagos East, asserts that the partnership with Awari AI marks the commencement of a transformative journey in Ikorodu and the entire Lagos East Senatorial District. He envisions a future where industries are redefined, jobs are created, and the youth are empowered through the Awarri AI project.
Senator Abiru passionately expresses his commitment to technology and innovation, emphasizing the vast job opportunities and economic growth that the tech sector can facilitate. Since the lab's inception in 2022, with five pilot programs, it has positively impacted over 150 in-class participants and 1,200 online trainees. The SAIL Innovation Lab's diverse programs, including Tech Talent Development, STEM initiatives for senior secondary school students, and Data Science for Society, have evolved to offer job prospects through esteemed partner organizations.
Awari AI's co-founders, Mr. Silas Adekunle and Ms. Eniola Edun, advocate for embracing artificial intelligence as the new wave in Nigeria's pursuit of opportunities in the digital and innovation age.
